On November 17, 2007, Gil Cates, the producer of thirteen Academy Awards shows, including the 2006 78th Annual Academy Awards, will be the guest speaker at a black tie optional dinner at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center.
Mr. Cates is recognized as a leader in television, film, and theater. He has served two terms as President of the Directors Guild of America and is only the third person in history to receive the DGA's Presidents Award. In early 2005, Gil Cates was awarded the American Society of Cinematographers Board of Governor's Award. He is the founder of the UCLA School of Theater Film and Television for which he was dean from 1990 - 1998. In recent years, Gil Cates has garnered numerous Emmy Awards and nominations. In 2005, he was awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Hillel School of Tampa is proud to bring Gil Cates to Tampa for this once in a lifetime event. Tickets will go on sale for this incredible night at the end of September and the event will be open to the public. We have numerous sponsorship opportunities available. Sponsorship levels are provided in this packet. Sponsoring an event of this magnitude allows your company multi-media advertising on a large scale. Invitations will go out to over 600 businesses and individuals. The deadline for ads in the Gala Book is November 1, 2007. Gala books will be given to all guests the evening of the event.
